• SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

    "What is Science Olympiad?"

Science Olympiad is an after-school team activity in which students compete against other teams in our region. We compete in events pertaining to earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering.  Science Olympiad is a great way for students to learn more about science and increase their interests in science-related careers. The season goes from October through March. If we qualify for the State competition then the season will continue through April. This year, practices alternate from Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday until 4:30 pm and the following week on Friday until 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. See the November and December Calendars for more specific practice dates and times. Starting in February, we will have our invitational competitions. All competitions take place on Saturdays from 6 am to about 7 pm. The WOSO Invitational will be Saturday, February 2nd. The Holt Invitational will be Saturday, February 23rd. The date for the Ionia Invitational is still being determined. The date in March for the regional competition is still being determined. The State Competition at M.S.U. will be Saturday, April 27th.
