Ionia Public Schools district operates one high school (9-12), one alternative high school (6-12), one middle school (6-8)
and five elementary schools (PK-5).

Ionia Public Schools contracts with ESS/willSub to provide substitute teachers, aides, food service, coaches and secretaries. Substitute applicants will be employees of ESS/willSub and should begin the application process at www.willsub.com before getting fingerprinted.
Fingerprinting Information
Substitute Teacher applicants should contact Ionia ISD at 616.527.4900 to obtain the correct fingerprinting paperwork.
All other applicants should contact Melissa Weller at mweller@ioniaschools.org or call Ionia Public Schools central office at 616.527.9280 to obtain the correct livescan request forms. Once you have the livescan request form, please contact the Ionia Sheriff’s office at 616.527.5737 to schedule an appointment.

Internal Application Process
1) Submit a letter of interest and resume stating the reason you are requesting a transfer to Wayne Piercefield and the Building Principal
2) Be sure to include your qualifications and certifications
3) Internal Applicants should also include their most recent effectiveness rating determined by their annual evaluation.
